Description
Originally an pen-and-ink drawing, this image of a model I drew a few years back really translated well into an etching. I named it after the model, "David the Clown."
I took my first Printmaking class this summer at the Academy and we learned the basics of lino-relief, etching, and lithography. This was my second attempt at an etching, one I did for myself and not to complete any assignment. Etched onto a 6"x8" zinc plate, I chose a sepia ink on a cream colored paper to give it more of a mood. I'm very pleased with how it turned out and I hope you enjoy it too.
